Dear Parents,
It is after many months of consideration, prayer,
and thought that I find myself at the point I am today. Ever since I was a child,
working with children has been my goal. Owning Tiger Cubs Learning Center
has been the ultimate setting for me to fulfill my dream.
As most of you know, my husband Mark and I have
three children. Lacee is 8, Mark Anthony is almost 2, and we now have another
one on the way, due in October.
With a growing family that needs me more and
more each day, the time has come for me to step aside from my career for awhile, and be a full time wife and mom.
I will still be around, visiting the school and
possibly substituting as needed. My main focus, though, will now be at home,
raising my family. I am continuing my college education in pursuit of a degree
in Early Childhood. My plans do include returning to the field someday in the
future, when the timing is better for my family.
I want you all to know how much I deeply love
each and every one of my students and what a joy I have each day spending time with them, watching them learn and grow into
the fantastic people they each will become.
This transition from me to the new owner will
come slowly and gently. The children’s needs are first on the minds of
myself and the new owner. The same staff your children have come to know and
love will be working alongside her. The new owner will be spending more and more
of her free time here, getting to know the children and the parents. We will
all be working together to make this as smooth and easy as possible for everyone, especially the children.
I would also like you to know that I am very
excited about the new owner. I have had several calls from several people over
the past few months, interested in purchasing the school. I turned them all away,
first because it was before I knew about the new baby, and then because I would not leave my students to someone I did not
feel confident would continue on with the high standards of quality I have made Tiger Cubs known for. Please take the time to get to know her, welcome her into your children’s lives, and know that you
will all forever be in my and my family’s hearts.
Sincerely,
Gretchen F Mitchell
